Barbara is known throughout the industry as an intrepid world traveler. Her far-flung journeys to such remote spots as Papua, New Guinea, Tajikistan and Iran allow her to combine her love of adventure with social and human interaction. She has traveled to over 15 African countries and is on the Advisory Board of Village Health Works in Burundi, Africa.
